We currently have no waitlist for psychological assessments. At Better You, we understand that waiting for answers can be the hardest part of the process. We are committed to providing timely access to diagnostic testing, typically scheduling your initial consultation within 7-10 business days.

In Ontario, psychological assessments performed in private clinics are not covered by OHIP. However, most extended health benefit plans (like those through your employer) provide partial or full coverage for "Psychological Services." We provide detailed receipts with the clinician’s registration number so you can submit them for reimbursement.

Once the direct testing is finished, your clinician spends several hours analyzing the data and drafting a comprehensive report. We then schedule a dedicateto sit down with you and explain the findings in plain language. You will receive a formal written report that includes the diagnosis (if applicable) and a personalized roadmap of recommendations for school, work, or further treatment.

No, a formal referral from a family physician is not required to begin the process at our clinic. However, some extended health insurance providers may require a referral before they will reimburse you for the cost. We recommend checking with your insurance provider first to see if they have specific documentation requirements.
