In Ontario, psychological assessments performed in private clinics are not covered by OHIP. However, most extended health benefit plans (like those through your employer) provide partial or full coverage for "Psychological Services." We provide detailed receipts with the clinician’s registration number so you can submit them for reimbursement.

Once the direct testing is finished, your clinician spends several hours analyzing the data and drafting a comprehensive report. We then schedule a dedicate sit down with you and explain the findings in plain language. You will receive a formal written report that includes the diagnosis (if applicable) and a personalized roadmap of recommendations for school, work, or further treatment.

No, a formal referral from a family physician is not required to begin the process at our clinic. However, some extended health insurance providers may require a referral before they will reimburse you for the cost. We recommend checking with your insurance provider first to see if they have specific documentation requirements.

Our assessment fees depend on the specific scope of evaluation required. Comprehensive psychological assessments, such as focused ADHD, autism spectrum, or mental health evaluations without a psychoeducational component, are $2,750. Comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, which evaluate learning disabilities, cognitive processing, and academic achievement, are $3,500. All quoted fees are all-inclusive, covering your initial intake, all psychometric administration, scoring, the formal written report, and your dedicated feedback session with no hidden fees.

We offer fully virtual and hybrid assessment options to fit your needs. Many psychological assessments, including adult ADHD, mental health, and diagnostic evaluations, can be completed entirely online via our secure video platform from anywhere in Ontario. For assessments requiring hands-on standardized testing tools, such as certain psychoeducational batteries or child observations, we offer a flexible hybrid format with online clinical interviews and focused in-person testing sessions at our clinic offices.

Yes. To ensure our assessments remain accessible, we offer structured payment milestones throughout the assessment process rather than requiring the full fee upfront. From your first intake session to the delivery of your final report, the process typically spans 4 to 6 weeks. The direct testing and interview appointments are usually scheduled across 2 to 3 sessions to avoid cognitive fatigue. Once all testing and collateral questionnaires are completed, your clinician requires approximately 3 to 4 weeks to analyze the standardized data and write your comprehensive diagnostic report.

Yes. Every assessment is conducted by or under the direct supervision of an autonomously practicing Registered Psychologist in Ontario. Our comprehensive reports provide the validated psychometric scores, DSM-5-TR diagnostic impressions, and functional impact documentation necessary to secure formal academic accommodations (IEPs, post-secondary exam accommodations) and workplace adjustments.

Therapy is an ongoing, collaborative treatment aimed at developing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and personal growth. A psychological assessment is an intensive, standardized diagnostic investigation designed to provide clarity on cognitive function, learning profiles, attention, and executive functioning, resulting in an official written medical-legal report with tailored recommendations.
